FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE WOMEN’S SOCIETY OF CYBERJUTSU (WSC) AND CYBERVISTA PARTNER TO OFFER MEMBERS AND SPONSORS PREMIUM TEST PREPARATION PROGRAMS, DISCOUNTS, AND SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, June 8, 2017—The Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC) announces a new partnership with CyberVista, a cybersecurity education and workforce development company, to provide WSC members and WSC corporate sponsors new training opportunities, access to premium test preparation programs at a discount, and a scholarship program.

In addition, Cybervista and WSC are launching a #SheHacksWSC scholarship opportunity for one women to receive a fully paid CyberVista CISSP® training course valued at $3,995 plus a certification exam voucher and a second woman to receive a course at 50% off. Apply here.

“Today, women make up just 11 percent of the cyber workforce," said CyberVista CEO, Amjed Saffarini. "With a potential shortfall of qualified cybersecurity professionals estimated at 1.5 million by 2019, we are delighted to partner with Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu to make high quality training available to women who want to enter, transition to, or rise in the cybersecurity field.”

“The Cybersecurity workforce shortage is a calling for technical women globally to expand to a cybersecurity career where they can thrive and protect privacy, digital identities and economic empowerment. But to do so, women need access to training opportunities, supportive communities, and mentorship on how to steer their careers through life’s constant challenges,” said Jessica Gulick, Vice President of the WSC national board. “We proudly partner with CyberVista, a peer in this challenge to prepare and empower women in cybersecurity careers.”

Under this new partnership, WSC members and sponsors are provided a significant discount of $750 off CyberVista’s CISSP® test prep program offering a new approach to cybersecurity training informed by decades of learning science expertise with sister company Kaplan, Inc. The course, a $3,995 value, includes the following unique elements:

  • Personalized experience: The only program that conducts an initial diagnostic assessment of each student's level of knowledge to deliver a personalized and efficient study plan.

  • Most comprehensive: 300+ hours of structured learning including more than 70 hours of live and on-demand expert instruction.

  • Engaging delivery mechanisms: Includes light board technology and on-demand video, to provide an experience that more closely mirrors and even exceeds the benefits of face-to-face instruction.

  • A focus on practice: Includes more than 2,000 practice questions, flashcards and CyberVista Summary Notes.

  • Convenience: Live courses are offered online on weekday evenings to eliminate travel and minimize the impact on jobs and other obligations of working professionals

CyberVista is hosting WSC’s June 26th Networking session at their offices in Arlington, VA. Register here to attend.
